This is the easiest item I've ever had to replace. I just unscrew the top of my room air filter, pull out the old filter and drop in the new one. You can't get any easier than that.

I live in a home with two smokers. Visitors come over that do not smoke and comment that our home never smells of smoke. It works very well with any type of odor or dust and cleans the air. Although it works, the grooves cut into this replacement filter do not line up properly with the protrusions on the model 17200 air cleaner, so the fit is not great when you screw down the lid, causing some air leakage and extra noise. Also the hard plastic sides are not as pliable as the softer sides on the brand name replacement. Not worth the slight discount.
